Project Manager

Bonacio Construction, Inc. is a Saratoga Springs based construction company with ties to its community; an award-winning builder of residential and commercial structures since 1988.

We are growing and would like you to join our family of professionals as a Project Manager.


  • Manage multiple projects in conjunction with our site supervisors, ensuring all necessary tradespeople, subcontractors, materials, equipment, approvals, permits, preconstruction meetings are in place prior to starting any work.
  • Ensure effective planning, estimating, procurement, execution and support of all assigned construction projects.
  • Monitor progress of assigned projects, ensuring output and timely results consistent with company policies, expectations and goals. Oversee all aspects from pre-construction services to close-out and follow-up.
  • Documenting important events such as change orders in the scope of work, discovery or unforeseen conditions, and instructions from the owner.
  • Collaborate and utilize the Contract Administrator assigned to the project.
  • Ensure budget and financial goals are met by tracking expenses, preparing status reports, and working with Accounting to prepare monthly billings.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
  • 5 years minimum experience working as a project manager in the construction field.
  • Ability to negotiate, resolve conflict, and deal effectively with all levels of staff in a respectful and professional manner, with exceptional customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Maintain site safety, cleanliness and organization
• Plan, organize and manage crews and subcontractors
• Inspect jobs on a continual basis to ensure quality assurance and highest level of craftmanship
• Monitor job progress and costs against budgets

Applicant will be responsible for calculating, estimating job costs of construction and forecasting the length to completion.


  • Calculation and analysis of all cost information.
  • Read blueprints and specs to quickly and accurately determine quantities.
  • Work with vendors and subcontractors along with interaction with internal clients such as estimators, project managers, contractors and other personnel.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs, project calculation and analysis.
  • Review and report on bid documents, bid searches, and various other data organization and retrieval activities.
  • Manage alternates, bulletins, addenda and change order.
  • Participate in meetings with estimating team.
  • Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years construction and/or estimating experience.
  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • General knowledge of the construction industry.
  • Must have experience with understanding and evaluating construction plans and specifications.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
