Community Service

We believe that a strong community is built on participation and try to give of our strengths and resources, whether we're building a dugout for Little League or supporting a scholarship program. Bonacio Construction is all about teamwork and people working together - within our firm and out in the neighborhood.

Little League Dugouts

Going out to the old ballgame is more fun than ever for Saratoga's Little League players and the Saratoga Phillies. At the East Side Recreation Center, Bonacio Construction literally "dug-in" to build dugouts for the Saratoga Phillies and the Saratoga Little League. And they built the snack bar, which makes everybody happy. Bonacio also built the dugouts for Little League at the West Side Recreation Center.

Saratoga Hospital

Julie Bonacio, board member of the Saratoga Hospital Care Foundation, believes in supporting a healthy community. A member of the board for the past 7 years, Julie has been involved in numerous activities sponsored by the board, including the Capital Campaigns for the Radiation Oncology Center and the new Emergency Department as well as the Summer Gala.

Universal Preservation Hall

This fine example of High Victorian Gothic is flooded with light again. The Universal Baptist Church, who gave the 1871 building to the nonprofit Universal Preservation Hall in 2002, is back in its restored chapel, and the first arts festival has been held in the partially renovated structure. Bonacio Construction assisted in various restoration projects, including repairing and painting wood and walls and ceilings in the main hall.

Dome for Congress
Park Carousel

This two-row, 28-horse carousel, carved by wood carver Marcus Charles Illions, was eventually moved to Congress Park after being rescued in 1987 at an auction after the closing of a local amusement park. A team of local people joined together to restore the carousel. Bonacio Construction built the dome for the Congress Park Carousel, which is now enjoyed by neighborhood children and visitors to Saratoga Springs.

Extreme Makeover
Home Edition

When a single mom and her four children desperately needed updated housing, Extreme Home Makeover responded to her plight. Her falling-down ranch was demolished and a new 3,500+ square-foot home was built on the site, located in an Albany suburb. Along with many other volunteers, Bonacio donated time to this worthy cause that gave this family a place they could truly call home.
